This is not my usual go to location but I won't be coming back to this location. Pet stores already have a bad reputation with the care of the animals that are in their possession. Today I went to grab a few things for my rabbit, I was walking by the hamsters and there was a little guy who did not look well. As someone who had hamsters growing up I can honestly say id never seen anything like that before , his droppings were also a different color than normal. I wanted to tell a staff member, but another customer had beat me to it. I overheard the conversation and it went like this *customer mentions something being wrong with the hamster* the employee without any actual concerns says "oh thats his ball, they look like that" ...they do not, at least not any hamster male ive seen. I have tried calling corporate and leaving an ethics complaint online but both systems are not working so all I can do is leave a review and call animal control. I visited the Fair Lakes PetSmart today at 1:45pm with my daughter to visit the animals where I was left in utter shock. We went to look at the fish and were so sad to see so many dead fish floating at the top of the aquarium along with rotting fish and trash at the bottom of the aquarium of the gold fish enclosure. I know fish die but 5+ rotting fish and bits of fish floating around the aquarium is unacceptable. We kept walking around and saw the conure in his enclosure with multiple mounds of waste that were evidently there a long time. This store is really big, and you can find almost anything you want to buy. Usually, on Saturdays and Sundays, there is a market for selling puppies and kittens, and during the week, you can find all kinds of ornamental fish, mice, lizards, snakes, and various birds. It’s a bit expensive, but they have a wide range of good brands. There is also a dog daycare center along with a grooming and washing area for dogs. Additionally, they have a veterinary section for pets.

Sabrina and the staff in the grooming department are amazing. Their understanding, patience, and kindness with taking care of Ginny has been above and beyond. Ginny loves going to her doggie day spa appointments. Thank you all for the many years of love and dedication to Ginny's health and happiness.

Our first visit to this location and Peter (groomer) knocked it out of the park! My Andrew was groomed to perfection and was very happy in the end. His coat was shiny and low cut as requested and smelled lovely per the deluxe package ! We even got some toys and treats while I waited for his grooming session to conclude. I would highly recommend Peter and the Fair Lakes location ‼️🐾🦴
