Pets Lifeline

With out the generosity of Pets Lifeline so many animals and people would not experience the love of a pet/human bond.

I’ve been aware of Pets Lifeline since 2013 & have been referred to them multiple times over the years. While I understand the importance of supporting animal welfare, I’ve noticed that animal shelters often receive more donations than homeless shelters, which raises some moral & ethical questions for me. In my experience, most of the funding at organizations like this seems to go toward payroll, overhead, & other operating expenses, which can leave very little for direct care or meaningful community support. I’ve also noticed that some of the individuals involved don’t appear to have a strong connection or skill set when it comes to working with animals. That’s concerning, especially when considering the trust & generosity the community of Sonoma places in Pets Lifeline.

We adopted an adorable dog from Pets Lifeline and the staff was incredible kind and helpful! Rebecca was our point of contact and was great at answering our questions. They provided us with a leash, harness, crate, 3 weeks of food, bowl, Nexguard, and blanket all included. We definitely recommend Pets Lifeline!

Our adoption of a cat (second one we have adopted from Pets Lifeline) was easy. The staff is helpful and efficient. Our main reason for using P.L. is that it is a no-kill shelter. We would never support a shelter that disposed of animals when they were too much trouble to keep.

I've had two calls trying to help me adopt a kitten or older cat. Very compassionate staff.
