Family Dog Rescue

Family Dog Rescue was wonderful. The application process was easy. They were commicative about the meeting time and I finalized the paperwork online. I had immediate follow up with her paperwork, the receipt and the contract. The staff was absolutely amazing. I was able to take home this beautiful girl, Gigi. They had so many wonderful dogs and puppies that need homes before the holidays.

After a few months of looking through different rescue places I found our Willow. She was so amazing on paper and I had to put in an application right away- within a few hours our adoption application had been accepted and Nicole was texting me to let me know the good news. Even better is that Willow was at a foster family house close to our home and she offered to connect us and we were able to find a day that worked for us all to meet. Willows foster parents were amazing! They offered to come by our home, which was actually great because we wanted Willow to see where she was possibly going to live and we were able to have her off leash, the meeting went great and that very next day she came home. This past December we found our lovely girl Aurora, the owner of Familydog was super helpful and kind, such a wonderful job that they're making!

TLDR; This rescue allowed us to adopt a very sick, un-neutered dog. Communication was frustratingly slow. I felt like I died a little bit inside trying to work with this rescue. We adopted our dog in November 2022. When we took him home he was emaciated and had horrible kennel cough. He would cough throughout the entire night and could barely eat or drink. The rescue had been giving him antibiotics for over 2 weeks before we adopted him and gave us an additional week’s supply. He wasn’t getting better, so I reached out to them for advice and they basically said that they were no longer responsible for him or his health. When we took him to the vet, the vet told us that the rescue had been giving him the wrong meds. They prescribed us something else and within 3 days, his cough was pretty
