Went there to look at some fish and pick up some items. The fish area has improved as the tanks look very clean. There are few tanks with dead fish, but it is to be expected. Now to why such few stars. I brought some items to the register and each item I purchased did not ring up correctly. The cashier stated the prices were sale prices and I showed her the picture of the items under the price. I said No issue if she couldn't adjust the price as I stated I would just not purchase all. She mentioned she would have no issue to change but when the total came up it didn't add up correctly. I told her several times the total was not correct even doing the math out loud with her. If I could give 0 I would. The cashier was extremely rude as well as the vet staff. They said that even though I had a FOOD prescription from my vet I could not get food unless I had an exam. After calling other locations and going elsewhere I was told that's false. They all said we could get foodas long as we had a valid prescription from a doctor. . We went to petsmart instead. They got us the food. The front desk person at this location also told us to "go figure it out and look" actually the worst customer service.

Petco Plainview is the best. I trust them so much that I brought my baby boy there For vaccines and a check up and they were so wonderful. The office is clean and I rescheduled and scheduled without any issue using the app. The doctor and all staff were so gentle and kind to my baby boy! Best promos on all dog food. You can literally accomplish All your needs in one spot. Ten stars!! The store is clean and the trainers and all staff are kind and helpful. Gonna try the groomers next.

Can not recommend this place to anyone. While not only is the staff rude, they are unhelpful. Took my dog here to be groomed. She smelled of smoke when I picked her up and the hair cut looks like it was done by a child. I had to give her a bath once we got home to remove the smell of smoke. The store itself is dirty. With pee around just about every corner. Some with soaked paper towls thrown over top. Lots of items seem to be out of stock but half filled coffee cups and other trash seems to fill the empty spots. No item seems to be in the right area for pricing either. I am very disappointed with this petco as it is local and would of been perfect for all of our dogs needs.
