I am visiting from out of state and, after a really disappointing experience at Petsmart, I decided to stop by Petco—and I am SO glad I did! Jahsir and Ciomarie were beyond incredible. I have honestly never seen a team multitask the way they do while still making every single customer feel seen, heard, and completely taken care of. Their teamwork is seamless—they balance each other perfectly, and the store doesn’t feel like a place you’re just “shopping.” It feels warm, welcoming, and comfortable. Jahsir’s knowledge about fish, fish care, and products is unmatched. He gave me his full attention and treated me like family. He went above and beyond by showing me how to properly care for the fish and clean the tank—something he absolutely didn’t have to do. Because of him, I will continue g

So sad to watch this store go down hill😥As a previous “partner” and long time “guest” I am extremely disappointed to see the decline in animal care. I went there tonight to purchase my cat food and some aquatics. They were completely out of plenco fish. There were so many dead fish and the tanks were horrid. I am a firm believer animal care should come first at any establishment, especially a well know business that claims to set higher expectations on their animal care. Maybe Petco leadership should review basics when housing and selling animals because is was apparent to me tonight, animal care is not a priority at all.

The employees are great at Petco disappointed in Purina pro plan dog food having worms in it. The product should be pulled off the shelves and issue a recall. I purchased a bag Sunday night opened it and it was infested with worms returned it Monday.In the store I opened up two bags before finding a good bag. The manager said it’s a problem across Petco stores and they have 10 bags returned with a similar problem. Not a 100% sure if it’s Purina or Petco that stored the product incorrectly.

Exceptionally TERRIBLE animal (specifically bird) care. I should have known better when coming into this store. I blindly came into here during the month of September to purchase a parakeet, because I was told that I could not purchase a dog or cat by my parents. First of all, the bird cage prices are ridiculous. I purchased a small cage suitable for a finch at best, when I was told it was suitable for a single parakeet, for $50. Although, the employee was nice enough to give me a discount. I know have a 2X bigger cage for $3 less! Secondly, throughout the months, I have noticed the terrible animal care compared to other establishments. Petco has a habit of gruesomely and extremely poorly clipping their birds wings, leaving them half immobile and unable to exercise, leading to early obes

This petco should be ashamed of itself. It's the second time I've tried to purchase feeder insects from here, but they were half/mostly dead. There's no way I'd risk feeding them to my bearded dragon. It just takes a little bit of care and attention. When I was there on Oct 10th, the bearded dragon enclosure was way to cold, the feeders were unacceptable, the shelves were bare, and an employee was just standing around looking at his cell phone. It's obvious they don't care about animals. Please don't respond to this review. I don't want to hear excuses. Just fix it!!!! I haven't been to the cat or dog section because my cat's on a prescription diet.
