I have to agree with some other reviewers. This place is just sad as far as the animals being sold. Especially the beta fish and the birds. I understand male betas have to be isolated but the stacks of them in tiny bare containers is just pathetic. The birds are in sad, fluorescent lit individual cages - personally I don’t think an animal that is meant to fly should be kept as a pet, much less in these reprehensible conditions until someone who is willing to drop $1,000 comes in. I wish they would just stop participating in the animal trade- especially of these more exotic fish, birds and reptiles. It’s all about the almighty $$.

Our dog, Jesse Pinkman, turned 3 years old yesterday! For his birthday, I scheduled his well check appointment at Vetco in Petaluma. The car ride and vet visit were the best present ever because of Jesse absolutely LOVES going to see his peeps at Vetco. Yes, you heard that correctly. Our dog loves going to the vet and it's because of the amazing people that work there. All the staff is so amazing and kind. However, Hannah stands out as a shining star! Hannah made Jesse's day so special by making him a birthday hat and giving him a bag of dog treats! Thanks, Hannah, for going above and beyond and for making Jesse's 3rd birthday so special. Paws down, you made this the best birthday ever! 🐶❤️🎉

Petco puts profit before pets. Seriously, I say this as a pet Dad on a budget - if you can, go to another clinic, preferably locally owned. You might spend a little more but you will receive better care almost anywhere else.

Once again, a fine grooming job. As I was dropping off Betsy for her appointment, I saw a small, fluffy dog in the middle of her grooming session. The groomer was shaving under the pup's chin and the dog let out a huge yawn. So relaxed! Best advertisement ever for a groomer! Thank you.

What disgusting treatment of animals! My girlfriend and I wandered in before visiting Trader Joe's next door. When we looked at the bird, the conures were suffering in vile conditions. The water in all of the cages was filthy. The cage of one had poop splattered all over the walls. That bird kept stepping and rubbing against her own excrement. The cages were small, dark, and lacked bird baths, and must have smelled terrible inside the glass. One of the birds pressed against the glass, and kept desperately trying to push through to reach me. The parakeets, which are smaller, got a bigger cage all together that was kept cleaner since it was more visible. Meanwhile, the larger birds had an 8th of the space and no ability to socialize with other birds. The employees were all apathetic. My
