Petco

I came looking for a snake, but was unsure which kind was best for me as a beginner. I knew I wanted a chill snake but was nervous to have a snake that grew bigger than me. Milk snakes were appealing because they stay relatively skinny despite their length. The man that helped me recommended a ball python because despite their length and girth, they were the better snake to handle. Within 2 minutes, a python was placed in my hands and I fell in love. Stayed completely calm, let me pet his head, and I knew he would be my snake. I was recommended an enclosure that would last while the snake grows, a hide, a water dish, and the bedding. I didn’t know too much about pythons except that there were certain temperature and humidity requirements for the enclosure. I expected to do some research to

Was in there yesterday, we live in bel air and wanted to check out other petco and petsmarts around us and this one was by far the most unkept store i have ever seen. The fish specifically looked horrible. All the tanks looked dirty and like they haven’t been cleaned in months. All fish look sick or slow moving. And almost ALL the bettas i saw were dying of finrot which is absolutely disgusting. Not only that but most the bettas had intake dates on them some going back to AUGUST of 2025, you mean to tell me some fish have been in those CUPS since August??? (Including few of the photos I took.) This company in general needs to do better but the employees not caring for these animals makes it worse. Do better. Store was nice but the staff were less impressive. Then my coupon would not work and cashier did not try to help. Toys were great and holiday leftovers prices could out be ignored. A holiday pickle XL in a hat and scarf 2X the size of my 4 month old puppy for $6.50. No… that is too darn cheap Update- all issues resolved. Great team of management. Thanks crew

Shout out to an employee her name is Lisa. She pretty much saved my day. I thought I Lost my keys and left them in the car half hour later she comes out and she has my keys. She’s an angel in disguise.🙌🏻

The customer service was not what I expected. I’ve been to a few locations and they are very friendly especially to my fur child. Today my fur child was service by Abby and her whole vibe was off. She was not friendly at all. Upon bring my baby home she did not seem her happy self. Makes me wonder if she was yelled at or mistreated. We will not frequent this location (Nottingham) again!
