Petco Grooming

We recently lost our regular dog groomer, and since we purchase all of our three dog's food at Petco, we decided to have our two miniature poodles groomed there. As it turned out, this was a very poor decision on our part. After speaking with the groomer, relaying how we would like the dogs cut and even giving her pictures of the dogs after former clippings, we were saddened at how the dogs were returned to us. Their hair was not cut evenly, their bellies were not shaved, the groomer took too much hair off their head and ears, and one of the dogs was nicked and bleeding in two places inside her back leg. They really looked pathetic, and this will be the first and last time we ever have our dogs groomed there.

This was not a good grooming appointment. The groomer was timid and we have a docile lab but she was not confident and our dog left very stressed and remained that way for a while after. Our favorite groomer is no longer there, sadly we won't be back.

Nicki did a fantastic job with Tifa's grooming. My dog gets extremely excited when I bring her in and she leaves looking extra beautiful. Nicki work great with my dog and is always super pleasant to chat with and both my dog and I look forward to her next appointment.

My dog Shadow has severe trauma from his grooming visit this past Tuesday. I am going to have to take him to the vet so that they can look at his bruises and cuts that the groomer Denise left on him. Shadow has been on edge and very nervous since we picked him back up. He doesn't want anyone to touch him and he constantly shaking now. I believe he is developing an ear infection as well because he keeps shaking his head and licking his paws. And then to make matters worse the groomer didn't do a clean job he still has spots on him that should have been shaved off. We were charged additional money for them to bruise and cut his skin and for him to still have hair on him that should have been cut. Yeah definitely have no intentions on coming back. Barney’s 1st hair cut went so well because of the groomer’s skills in handling his anxieties. He looks beautiful and survived his first hair cut anxieties. A great experience for us both🥰
