The water bottles in the mouse cage are placed too high for the mice to reach. Several mice were even trying to hang themselves on the edge so that they could reach the water bottle, others were stretching their bodies as long as they could just to get some water. I wish the manager here could actually care more about the quality of life for the small lives here.

This place is nice, I do not have really favorite pet stores. Usually visit the closest store on my way when I run errands. We luckily always find what Russie needs at that moment. To walk in to place like this is a treat for Russie. She enjoys like I enjoy going for shoping to a mall. She adores smells and cool temperature, (when it’s hot outside) and pet friendly atmosphere indoor.

The staff at the Petco in Fairfax City, right next to the Panera, are always extremely friendly and helpful. This location always has my dog's brand of food in stock. This is important, because, currently, this is the only food that he can eat due to his allergies.

Do not buy pet food from here. Our bag of dog food was filled with maggots and based on the conditions of the bag, this food had been on the shelf for a while. They could not give us a refund without a receipt even though the transaction was present in their system. This is not the first time we have had issue at this Petco regarding returns and exchanges. Stay away from this store.

20240612 It has been 2 years since I've shopped here. Picked up 2 ciclids, and the employee who helped me was very nice, and so was the cashier. The employees here are so nice and helpful. I rarely do in store shopping. It's do much easier and convenient to order online. First time I took advantage of the 20% off online order and store pickup. It is very disappointing that many of the online items are not available for store pick up. Not sure why. Items that are available might not be at the store, that I found out when I got the ready for pickup email. I always visit the small animals at the pet stores... I was very disappointing to see 4-5 decent size guinea pigs housed in such a small tank... About 20 gallon. One guinea pig needs at least twice the space. I hope they are not stuck in th
