Horrific! They placed someone young like robot tells you generic information that she will record the problem and they left me along with the wild fox dying right in my yard this night. I do not know anything how to feed or treat injured animals on my own ! This organization makes this country a 3d world one. Just cannot rap my brain around the horrific services

I got my beautiful toller here! She is perfect and I couldn’t ask for anything more. They were so nice to help us feel like we were in charge and we weren’t pressured during the foster/adopt process. They even put her on hold so we could foster and get to know her. We also got our beautiful cat there.

I cannot speak to their love and care for animals, but my personal experience with the staff echos some of the other reviewers. It would behoove the staff at this facility to treat people bringing in strays, or considering adoptions with less hostility. Once I considered adopting one of their cats and the staff member behaved like an aggressive attorney representing the cat. They treated us as though we might be negligent and irresponsible. It left me with a resolutely negative view of this facility. I hope management of this facility considers staff training in how to interact with the public in ways that do not alienate potential donors and animal lovers.

Think twice before taking an animal to this place. We have found two animals on separate occasions and brought them here. The first time was an abandoned puppy that we wanted to adopt but when we surrendered the dog they didn't allow us to. They wouldn't even notify us when the dog was available and it ended up getting adopted by someone else. The second time we took in a cat that had been living in our shed for a week. We suspected it was a neighbors cat but we were not sure. We decided to confirm it by having them scan the cats chip but when we went in they forced us to surrender the cat against our will after finding out it was our neighbors cat. We would have preferred to knock on everyone's door than have it spend the night in kitty jail. The worst part is the abrasive woman who work

Tried to leave a lost kitty there forgot my bag in my car parked 10 ft away. The intake person called out a security guard. He grabbed me & tried to drag me back in. I tried to explain I was just getting my bag to pay the $70 drop off fee. All i can say is DoNot leave Animals here. They don't know how to treat humans. How would they treat a kitty. Kept kitty, dumped them. Found nice happy home for kitty. This is a true story. I found it beyond strange. Honestly! Petaluma Animal Shelters are usually no kill etc.; the counter person must have been a bit unwell. Saw it was closed down shortly after. I obviously have not returned. But be aware-if they did it once...
