Pet Supplies Plus Parrish

A new review for the new year. The store continues to grow in both resources and knowledge. Aside from a phenomenal aquatics section they have seriously stepped up their reptile, amphibian, and arachnid game this year. One of the best shops in manatee county for exotics. If you are looking for a shop where every reptile and exotic is being kept in an appropriate sized enclosure that is fully bioactive this is the place for you. All animals are well-maintained and properly labeled. Staff is very knowledgeable about care and making sure that anybody is aware of what care is necessary for the different animals that they may purchase.

Well, got a free wash out of it, so shouldn't complain too much, but would not have gone there and wasted my time in the first place, if I knew their equipment wasn't up to task. Since I recently moved into this area, I did what I always do, take my Samoyed to Pet Supplies Plus, buy the 5 x wash card and started washing. No issues up till this point, but when I tried to dry my dog, found the blower to be completely underpowered and no smaller nozzle to accelerate the air. Went to the front, explained the situation and was told that they can not increase the air pressure or supply the smaller nozzle... Due to "safety concerns". I guess someone blew a dog's ear out and must have taken them to court or something. Anyways.... "use a many towels as you need"..... Well, that would be a very l

My wife and I come in every weekend to buy a toy for our dog, it's a tradition we have. We love the store/customer service, but something didn't sit well with me this week. We were just in the store on Saturday and picked out a toy that cost $4.50. Standard pricing for some of their cheaper toys and we buy a mixture of expensive/inexpensive toys. We happened to be in the plaza four days later on Tuesday and decided to grab some toys for our dog and some other family dogs and they were advertising "black friday week deals, all toys BOGO". Obviously we were thrilled, but came to notice they marked up ALL of their toys for double the price. The toy we had literally purchased four days earlier went from $4.50 to $9.00. Absolutely a scam and shady business.

Very disappointed with this location. We bought dog food here after the employee specifically told us we could return it within 30 days if our puppy didn’t like it, even if the bag was opened. We trusted that information. Two days later, we tried to return it and were told they don’t accept opened items. Completely opposite of what we were told. It was misleading and a waste of time. We won’t be coming back to this store.

Love this location. They always have the best deals on some of the healthiest pet food. I recently had a awesome experience with the store manager, Chris, and I think he and the team have been doing a great job!
