Pet Supplies Plus Freeport

I've gotten many fish from this store, and all but 5 have died. Over the last couple of years, I have gotten about 15 fish... only 5 have lived! They only seem to live a couple of weeks, and then I find them on the bottom of the tank. Its frustrating spending good money on a fish or a few of them, and they die so quickly... thats not normal.

This store has what you need and its close to home. Lately their store associates lack any ambition. I have stood at the check out for 5 minutes waiting for someone to come and check me out. They are typically hanging out watching other store associates clean fish tanks. I know this is probably an opportunity to learn but they need some kind of bell or device we can squeeze to let someone know we are ready to check out since they do not watch for customers wanting to pay.

I had the worse experience at Pet Supplies Plus Freeport today. I’ve had a difficult past few weeks and this made it worse. I live an hour from this pet store round trip between Freeport and South Beloit. I work in South Beloit a few buildings down from a pet store but I choose to shop here instead. When we ran out of dog food today, I wasn’t too worried about it because I had planned on taking my kids to the movies in Freeport. Adding on a trip to Pet Supply Plus wasn’t a big deal. At least it wasn’t for me. But it certainly was a problem for an employee there. I had 0 idea what time it was when we left the movie theater. I didn’t even look at the clock. I was busy talking about the Minecraft movie with my twins. We drove straight to Pet Supplies Plus from the theater. We always get a

Great place to stop and get whatever your pet needs. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered a decent selection of freshwater fish. It's good to have a pet store that offers live aquarium fish again in Freeport. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The kittens were absolutely adorable. It was really hard not to walk out with one or two! I also love the fact the business is so active on Google replying to reviews and regularly posting updates. It is very helpful, I wish more businesses were like this!

If you’re looking to do curbside pick up, you better just go inside and pick it up yourself! I had to go inside and pick up my order and the lady was just sitting at the counter watching a video on her phone! They don’t even carry my dog food anymore. And the prices have gotten out of hand you can find it cheaper elsewhere!
