Pet Supplies Plus Boone

I want to give a good review and higher rating. I had a higher rating, but today marks the second trip in with my dogs in which we've had trouble. The selection is good, and with a coupon its definitely worth it. But the teenage/college age workers in this store are HORRIBLE with customer service skills AND pets. The two girls today NEVER even greeted us even when checking out. They in fact looked BOTHERED by a customer needing to be checked out. No smiles, no hello, no how are you, no thank you, come again. At this point, I'd honestly rather shop online or at another store, especially spending almost $150 a visit. These ladies had no customer service skills and didn't even try to work. As a former retail manager this was just not it. Not only is this the type of pet store that shoves ungodly amounts of animals into cages too small for them (6+ birds in a cage too small for one), they have zero customer service awareness and so many safety violations throughout the store. The only employees who actually appeared to be working were the cashier up front and the groomers in back. There was a group of 4-5 employees standing around chatting and blocking an entire aisle. I understand that it can get boring and chatting amongst employees is fine, however the conversations should not supersede customer service. They ignored every single customer including myself and literally blocked the aisle so no one could walk through. I was looking for a couple other things and they lost sa

Horrible customer service... I waited 15 mins for help near the fish. I walked to the front to ask for help and was told "just for your consideration we close in 5 mins." I replied I know what I want and I've been here for 15 mins. I was told "Well I just really want to get home. We are busy I have things to do and so does she.(Pointing to another worker)." She then huffed toward me and said "fine. I will get it." After being spoken to so poorly I said nevermind you don't deserve my business and left. Don't go here if you actually need help. Plus the aquariums are in poor shape anyway with dead fish and snails in the bottom.

The manager i think his name is Raymond needs to be replaced!!! This store is constantly a disaster. you cant get through the isles, the shelves are never stocked, the store is nasty, and when i ask for assistance he is never much help. In the past I have used price matches and gotten stuff on clearance so I know that a manager is required like it had been in the past, I had mentioned to him that i had a price match on litter and I had a Halloween costume and that i would need him to check me out (the costume was in a shopping cart with a sign saying 50% off). He then turned to a regular associate and said you check them out and he left his register open for her to use his account and she had to figure out how to do a price match and a discount.
