Huge thank you to Dr. Hayley Crosbie and everyone else on the Emergency Clinic of the High Country team for saving my boy Otter! He came in late in the evening right after the holidays with an intestinal obstruction and every team member I spoke to in this stressful situation was empathetic and understanding. Wait times were kind of long but understandable as patients were being triaged based on emergency level. His surgery went well and after he came home, the clinic responded well to all of my worried phone calls with care. They also called a few days after he was home to check up and make sure he was okay. Dr. Crosbie, Dr. Phipps and Morgan were extremely knowledgeable. They cared about their jobs and our dog Daisy. I was surprised it was 3am and Dr. Crosbie was on her game and so caring about making sure Daisy had the correct diagnosis and care. Don’t hesitate to take your pet to this emergency vet. Its worth every penny!

We were in Boone for a dinner party when our old hound Dezi started to show symptoms of either a neuro issue or a back injury. We called the clinic and they were very nice and told us we were welcome to bring her in and also said they were currently full and to expect a wait. We arrived, checked in, paid the $150 fee (which is super reasonable for emergency care) and within about 10 minutes a VA came out to the car to do a triage. She again recommended we stay and reinforced there would be a wait but to let them know if her condition changed. Initially, the hound was in rough shape, she seemed disoriented, and was unable to lie down. It was a hard thing to see but we were really happy to be right at emergency care and didn’t mind the wait. After a couple of hours the dog seemed to improve

This is a dream emergency clinic for my precious pets. For nearly 20 YEARS these vet angels have been rescuing my pups at all hours. EXTREMELY TENDER COMPASSION is what they offer. And at the “end”—well I have never experienced such love and care as my fuzzy babies have gotten here. I have no reason to exaggerate this. I truly want others to find the same loving care as I’ve found here.

The staff here are absolutely amazing. They are very considerate, yet straightforward with you. Very compassionate and so helpful. Yes I do lose my girl but they was so amazing through the whole process. And tried their best to tend to my dog Nova while she was there. I was so grateful for all them. They didn’t mind me checking up on my girl every six hours when they called me already every 12.
