I cannot say enough great things about Pepper’s Paws Dog Training and Deb. From the moment she walked into our home, it was clear she truly understands dogs of all ages and personalities. I have a 5-year-old Maltipoo who can be very barky and a high-energy Mini Aussie puppy who loves to jump, and Deb immediately knew exactly how to handle both of them — calmly, confidently, and with so much patience. What impressed me most was how much I learned in just our first session. Deb didn’t just show me what to do — she explained why certain behaviors were happening and how to manage them effectively in everyday life. It was eye-opening and incredibly empowering as a dog owner. She went above and beyond by recommending helpful puppy training apps, setting up a training session with her own puppy

Deb is truly terrific, and she accomplished in four short sessions what I’d been unable to for a few years. My dog didn’t have huge behavioral issues, but would get a little overwhelmed and overexcited when visitors came to the house. With Deb’s help, we quickly developed some routines that gave the dog an opportunity to focus and be calm(er). Of course, what we call dog training is actually human training. But Deb not only trains humans well, but she explains the dog’s perspective, so it becomes obvious why some methods work and others fail. I’m very grateful that my friends referred her to me and I’m happy to recommend her myself.

Deb was incredible to work with! Alex and I were new puppy parents and even though we had a plan we were still very much overwhelmed with making sure we were doing the best for Grizzy. From day one Deb helped us feel confident in our training, answered every questioned we had and encouraged us every step of the way. Would highly recommend Deb to any new overwhelmed puppy parent. Deb is a real professional! Our one dogs was very reactive. After many other trainers we still had issues with her. It wasn't until we found Deb that we are now going in the correct direction. Both Shelby and we are now a happier family. We now enjoy walking in the park and our neighborhood with minimal to no issues. Something we couldn't do easily before. We were looking for Deb so our puppy wouldn't learn these traits. Deb has guided us to having a well-balanced happy puppy other people can enjoy as well as us.
