We went here the day after Christmas! Had so much fun seeing the bunnies and feeding the goats and llamas! The staff was great and very friendly. The building was spotless. I highly recommend it. Afterwards you can go across the street to the Living Waters museum!
As someone who works customer service, this is by far the worst SPCA in Hampton Roads. Poor communication and the old lady needs to go ahead and retire. I see she has another 1 star as well. Very rude and assumes people can't take care of the cats. The kitten wasn't afraid until she walked in mind you (as the kitten tried to run away from this terrifying looking woman). They don't fully care about those animals and it showed. All the cats looked angry or upset to be there. Also if you are going to be the "peninsula" SPCA, maybe accept everyone who lives in the peninsula! Foster to adopt program doesn't even work for people who live outside the newport news area (no where states on the website)..even though we were able to drive all the way there, they expect us to not come back LOL...well
Willow’s (Kimberly) pupaversauy is today!!! She has completed her four week Obedience Training at The Kennel at Five Forks and has continued to work at home!!!
We went on May 18 to drop off some donations we had lost our Elvis on May 10. My husband was the first time there. So he wanted to see the dogs they have. So we went in and saw the dogs I was there the previous Tuesday to drop off the first part of the donations. Went through to see all the dogs. Honestly, people need to stop breeding pit with other breeds Pit Bull are just amazing when their pure breed.. So as I walking down the dogs the first 5 were the same and their was this new one and I reading his page I was like wow he gets along with other animals 😻 great. And he just gave Our Elvis's eyes. So we ask for a visit he is a mix of Yorkie and mini schnauzer his name is Kendrick. We got the visit and it was a wrap we adopted him right there. Kendrick found his forever home!! H
We fostered Tate who we renamed Buster about 2 months ago and adopted him two weeks ago. He is enjoying his new home. He is a vey lovable smart kitten. He brings so much joy into our life.
