There are not enough stars to rate Penfield Veterinary Clinic. They are a 10 out of 10. The clerical staff, technicians & doctors are excellent in every way. Dr.Erik Herrema has been treating my Corgi who was diagnosed with Cushings & Diabetes. His communication, diagnostic testing & treatment plan literally saved my previous dog’s life. The kind, caring response by the front desk is exceptional. The techs are friendly and reassuring. Dr. Herrema is extremely knowledgeable, and does not hesitate to provide excellent guidance with treatment options & plans. I highly recommend this practice for your pets needs. You will find excellence in every way.

My fiancé brought our dying dog (literally) to this vet yesterday, to ask advice on quality of life and next steps. Her uber was late, and our dog is sluggish, as you might imagine. When she arrived they informed her they wouldn’t make an exception to their appointment rule and they would keep the $155 deposit for the appointment. She ended up getting an uber to AIC, who made an exception to their policy and saw him right away. AIC was able to provide us comfort and peace of mind and the right direction to go. They also gave us a list of folks who offer at home services. It was a 30 minute conversation. Honestly can’t believe the treatment at Penfield Veterinary Hospital. Sometimes it’s just about kindness.

To Dr. Thornton and the entire staff, we thank you for your prompt service, your professionalism and expertise, but most importantly your concern and compassion for our beautiful Cat Pomona during our most difficult time. Dr. Thornton gave us great and compassionate advice in making our decision to put our baby to rest without anymore suffering and gave my wife and I closure. God Bless all of you!

One of the best veterinary clinics, I really liked the polite staff. I often travel with my dog ​​and in a short time they helped me get all the vaccinations and documents to return to Europe. We’ve been taking our pets here for over a decade. Everyone is so friendly and compassionate. They don’t push extra tests unless they really think they are necessary and they explain their thoughts behind them. They truly want the best for your pet which in turn takes care of you- knowing you are doing the best you can for them. Both of my cats are difficult patients so I compensate for their nervous behavior by bringing everyone treats when I can and they are always so appreciative. I’ve never had a bad visit there and they keep my pets healthy. Pearl is almost 17 and Lily turned 14 yesterday and is in perfect health. What a great team! Thank you Penfield Veterinary!
