HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ⭐💯💯💯💯💯⭐ We recently adopted a super sweet boy from Pender County Animal Shelter, and I cannot say enough positive things about this place. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how immaculately clean the facilities were—every kennel was spotless, and I didn’t see a trace of mess anywhere. Each dog had sturdy concrete water dishes that couldn’t be tipped over, which showed me right away how much care and thought went into the animals’ wellbeing. One of the best features was their large play area, split into two sections, where you could take dogs off-leash to get a real sense of their personalities. They have a ton of kittens right now! We adopted our little girl there. We had to wait a few days for them to complete her spay but she came with first shots, dewormed, microchipped, and fixed. Exceptional pricing compared to Wilmington! I would recommend them highly. It's a little bit of a drive but totally worth it for the price and the selection of kittens available.

Very nice staff! It's clear they love every animal they rescue. Got my sweet babies, Jewell and Mac, from here :) Only $5 and $25 to adapt and they came neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all their vaccines.

The most honest and helpful, caring. Just amazing people. Takes a lot to run a shelter. Wish there were more help. We got a dog last week. From a pull for a rescue. If this dang dog actually didn't grow up here. You'd never know. Shes absolutely the best. Luna girl is loved and omg. A brindle pit. Yes. Shes also absolutely beautiful. We came in yesterday looking for a loving dog yesterday and found it! I wanted to say, we appreciate the time the staff takes with these dogs. I’m sure it can take some encouragement to get these dogs ready for a second chance. At 10 months old, Roman has learned within a minute at his new home, that his new bed is his safe place and to stand by the door to be let out. He slept peacefully through the night with no accidents (crate-free!!!), was woken up as I’m leaving for work and gently waited for his leash to be taken out before returning back onto his bed. Thank you, for the addition to our family!
