Burgaw Veterinary Hospital

I had a truly awful experience with Burgaw Veterinary Hospital. My dog was hospitalized there for 48 hours, and throughout that entire time the communication was terrible. I had to repeatedly reach out for updates, and when I did get information, it was vague and unhelpful. After two full days, I was given no clear diagnosis, no real explanation of what was going on, and no sense of urgency or concern. Even more frustrating, they refused to release medical records that I had already paid for, which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Dr baker & her vet tech are super friendly & caring. Wanda, the front desk girl was polite & attentive. Everyone is happy & that says a lot about their surroundings. Dr baker is knowledgeable but down to earth & sociable! The clinic has a warm & charming atmosphere 🩷

Nice staff unfortunately no one could tell me if I was gonna get charged per individual animal or as a litter. So unfortunately I personally cant show up somewhere like a vet and not have a general idea of what it's going to cost. It's crazy to me the receptionist couldn't find that information.

We come to Burgaw Vet for checkups for our dogs and cats. We couldn’t be more pleased with how they handle all of are concerns and joyful behaved pets. And, most recently, a pet emergency that they have treated us and our kitten so well with. Here at Burgaw Vet the job gets done and it gets done well with a smile on their face.

Do not go by online reviews. This is NOT the bad Burgaw vet. Dr. Baker is awesome and sweet and loves animals. My precious dog got hurt and they went above and beyond to help her. She could not be saved but they did try their hardest to find a way to do so. Even consulting with other vets to try to find a resolution for April. Thank you Dr. Baker for everything you did for our baby girl. Definitely will bring my other animals here. And thank you to Jesse the tech who fell in love with our April and helped her and me as well.
