Paws on 34

Just finished up my first visit with Joy at Paws on 34! What awesome people and a great grooming at a very reasonable price for my dog Maggie! I will definitely be a regular customer!

I brought my poodle in for a short even cut, bushy ears only. I SHOWED THE GROOMER a photo of how she was groomed last time. I pick her up and she has a big poodle cut on top of her head. She said that she'd rather be safe than sorry that she can always take more hair off the top. Of course I had her take her back and cut off the big poodle afro because that's not what I asked her to do and the picture did not look like that. This time, I get her with more hair in the middle looking like a point in the middle of her head. So she takes her back and now it's totally flat with sticking up points on the sides of her ears. So now she has a major attitude because I have her take her back and fix that. Worst cut ever. I have been so happy here, but the groomer that I had on this day was awful. Ne

We take Gizmo our Boston Terrier to Paws on 34 and we love them, extremely nice staff and so loving. I love the fact that they treat my boy like family. He comes out so much happier then when I give him a bath…LOL! They did a great job for our wedding in Sept 2024 and continue to do a great job for our special boy.

Left my home for a 9 am grooming appointment, half hour drive to Paws on 34. About 10 minutes before the appointment my wife calls and says the Groomer, Joy is running late and can we come at 11:30. My wife told her I was on my way and nearly there. I arrived and waited. Joy is a no show. One of the workers comes out with a phone and Joy is on the phone saying she called my wife. She then asked if I could stay around for a 10 am appointment. And she was late because a neighbor’s husband died. I said no and left as something didn’t feel right. She did say “I feel bad for your dog” however and offered $20 off.

I can’t say enough good things about Jo! She was absolutely amazing with my dog, especially knowing that she has a problem with her leg. Jo was so gentle, patient, and caring throughout the entire grooming process—you can truly tell she has a real love for dogs. My pup came home happy, comfortable, and looking great. The place itself is wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a groomer who will treat their dog with kindness and compassion.
