Had a great experience adopting Mister. I worked with Pauline on finding the perfect fit. Mister now has an amazing home full of love. He is very much a lap cat, enjoys lazy days and chasing the kitty Lazer around. His sweet nature was just what was needed. They provided food, litter, blanket, toy, etc. The adoption process went smoothly and forever grateful for Mister aka now Butters.

We loved our experience at Paws! After looking through the lengthy application process and realizing we couldn’t take a cat home the day we visited, we were reluctant to consider Paws for an adoption. After talking with the staff and meeting our young cat, we learned that they truly care about the animal’s best interest and are doing all of this for them. Paws helped us find our perfect cat and gave us all of the tools we needed to help him adjust to our home: cat condo (on loan), some of the food and litter he was used to, toys, treats and his own special blanket. The adoption was very affordable compared to getting a “free” kitten or cat from an ad, since Tripp came to us up to date on shots, other vet care and was neutered. We would recommend Paws Along the River to anyone looking for a

My husband and I were delighted with our entire experience at Paws Along the River. Karen, Pauline and the entire staff went above and beyond at every step of the way as we adopted two year old Border Collie, Odie. Their process is thorough and gave us high confidence as we moved toward full adoption. We were told Odie would be good with cats and kids and we quickly found that to be 100% accurate. Can’t say enough about Paws Along the River. We traveled quite a distance to adopt Odie and would do it again in a heartbeat. Definitely a 5 star experience from beginning to end.

We met our sweet boy Elwood at Paws Along the River Humane Society. They were very thorough in relating his history and personality and wanted to make sure he was a good fit for our family. We felt like we really knew his demeanor before taking him home. Their facility is very clean and well organized. You could tell that our dog was well cared for and had genuine affection for his handlers. There was a comfortable room with enough furniture for several people and plenty of room for us to visit comfortably and get to know him. We were given plenty of time to interact with him and ask questions. Both employees we worked with were pleasant, patient, and informative. There were several follow up phone calls and I felt that the organization was very supportive and helpful throughout the proces

Ever since the change over I have absolutely adored them and so grateful to them!!! My neighbors have been not the greatest with my dogs, since the border collie is an escape artist. They would call and make up lies about them, getting the police called on me many times for things my pups never did. One time the police talked to me 3 dayz in a row because of them. I got terrified cause my pups never harmed anyone or always ran off leash it just sometimes happened on acciddnt. I got scared For their safety and no other choice I had to surrender them for safety. from my neighbors before they really did anything or said anything bad about my dogs. They already falsly accused them of biting and being agressice when they are sweet hearts. I don't even want to think what could of happened if
