PAW Animal Shelter

My partner and I drove over 2 hours to see a puppy that was posted who we spent an hour with and they told us that he would be going to the vet on Tuesday, we were there on Saturday. They said that they would make a decision closer to the end of the week. I called today to check on the puppy’s vet appointment for them to tell me he went home yesterday and had a vet appointment last week. We just lost a pet and we’re really hoping to get a new one. With going to multiple shelters in my time, I have never been to one that smelled so badly of feces and urine. I do hope that everyone is aware that they will lie to you and the animals in their care are not being cared for well. I literally was appalled by the smell and wanted to take the puppy home that day to get it out of that environment. A

My dad went to adopt a puppy. They was rude to him and kept wanting him to adopt for free this old dog that was blind in 1 eye, 10 years old and not much life left. They ended up telling my dad to leave because they was not going to adopt any dog to him because he did not want an old dog that would die soon. They said they try to match age with owner. I get that to a certain point but an older person can care for a puppy also and it helps them keep moving. The lady was very rude!!!

We got our border collie from Paws in 2000 I think she was probably about 6 months old she was the most amazing dog we ever had the smartest dog and loving dog. She lived a long life . I had to sadly put her down in 2018. She was blind , deaf and had arthritis so bad she couldn't walk very well. She was a very pleasant dog and great part of my family .my 3 kids absolutely adored her. I'm so glad paws is expanding and upgrading. People complain about how it smells. Well they could take a day off and donate their time to help take care of all the animals. And that would make a huge difference. Paws is doing the best they can and I thank them and appreciate all they do. God bless you all for your work

This people here are fantastic! They take care of sooo many sweet animals. We were lucky enough to bring home our wonderful Magoo! New faculty under way looks amazing, I'm sure everyone will be happy to make that move.
