Pan Equus Animal Sanctuary

Went to my first Open Barn today. I was blown away. What a treat it was to interact with these beautiful rescues. I highly recommend visiting here. Bring the kids they'll love it. The size of the cows blew me away, lol.

Great place to spend our time with animals. Unlike petting zoos this one is actually non-commercial animal sanctuary. Cost nothing to enter. Just bring your empty bottles and cans that have deposit on them as donation. We decided to donate more than just that. These animals deserve a second chance to live.

I love the open barn days! I bring my kids and they get to interact with all the animals. They pet horses, brush cows, hug goats, plus sheep, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, etc. This is a fantastic cause and the volunteers are so dedicated to the animals.

I am sorry to share this post. PEAS is a fantastic concept. My wife hit a deer near PEAS this morning taking the boys to school. She was going 22 mph. The damage to the car reflects this slow impact. What happened next is the problem. After hitting the deer, approximately eight women and one man, from PEAS, came to the scene. This should have been a releif. Nope, these angry people proceeded to berate my wife for going too fast, and that she needed to watch the deer die and suffer. This is reprehensible. No one wants to hit a deer with their car. It's a terrible accident. This was only made so much worse by the subsequent verbal assault, with little regard for the safety of my wife and kids. Someone needs to answer for this. I have left a voicemail with my name and number. Shame on you. Ca
