Oshkosh Area Humane Society

Recently adopted our baby girl Winnie from here. She is so perfect and the adoption process was so easy. We worked closely with Sarah on adopting potential rabbits they had and we found Winnie to be the best fit for our home! Absolutely recommend this place. You can tell they love every animal that comes in with their full heart and are always taking the best care of them.

I recently went in and seen Tang, So far super amazing cat! He’s my first cat, but you can just tell he’s the sweetest boy! Dom and the rest of the team were amazing help and got back to me the next day after I put an application in I love everything about this cat and I’ll be bringing a donation by next time I come in. I love my kitty Thank you so much oahs!

Brought my boys to get their nails trimmed. I have 2 guinea pigs, 1 of which I adopted from here. Great place! Sarah has a ton of knowledge on small animals. Thanks for all you do OAHS!!

For small animal adoptions the Oshkosh humane society requires an application to be filled out. We have been denied on multiple occasions for reasons such as pending adoptions that have not been updated, unlisted requirements such as adopting pairs of rabbits/guinea pigs, prejudgment of thinking my children would not be able to take a neutered rabbit to the fair, ect. While making an in person visit to the humane society, we were informed that the application process is reviewed by the admin team and the best candidates are selected to adopt while the others are put on "stand by" in case their first selections don't work out. I don't see the application offer a spot for "referrals"... and anyone can lie on a piece of paper. Every day an animal is kept in the shelter adds extra time, costs,

Cat, dogs, and all other tiny fur balls have lots of love and affection to share. Lessons they teach us, and patience they share to help us humans to appreciate what life is meant for. To love.
