A few months ago, I was fostering a kitten and finalized adoption. During the time of fostering with OCAS, he had a medical emergency and I was in a situation where I couldn’t bring him right away. The staff helped me immensely. They worked with my situation and were very compassionate and he had a healthy recovery. I’m forever grateful to the team that worked diligently and giving care to my kitten. I want to give a special shout out to Lauren D. as well. She truly went above and beyond in her work and helped me get started with Ollie. I’m forever touched by her compassion and commitment to animals and also to their owners. The staff has immense love and dedication to their work and it reflects in the lives of the pets they said to their forever homes. Thank you for everything you’ve done

Orange County Animal Services has a clean facility and really values the animals that come into the building. We adopted our fur baby from them and have done numerous dog days out and fosters. I am always impressed at how many dogs get adopted and fostered through them.

Shout-out to Marcus who went above and beyond to help us figure out what was going on with the gigantic dog running around our neighborhood. He got in touch with the owner even though it took some detective work and kept me posted about it throughout. Top notch, felt super safe.

While the shelter itself does great work, my experience with one staff member was extremely disappointing. After returning a dog due to unavoidable housing restrictions, we came back to visit him. The front desk employee made multiple passive-aggressive and guilt-inducing comments under her breath, couldn’t even look us in the face but continued and were uncalled for and unprofessional. Then she went to go gossip with it to her other friends. Instead of offering support, she blamed us for the dog’s current stress and even hers? Despite us doing everything we could for him in the time we had him. She didn’t even know the dog’s name..before and after her rants… If that doesn’t say how much you don’t care for them? People should not be made to feel ashamed for making responsible decisions. I

Everyone here was so amazing. You can tell they take good care of the animals. I went and was originally gonna get a cat but then left with a dog. We adopted Trigger and it has been so amazing! He is such a great dog. The staff supported me from the start to ensure I am set up for success
