Old Town Animal Care Center

Dr. Kessel & the front desk staff are always amazing. They are very punctual with timing, try to get you in a room immediately, and it’s very clean and bright. We’ve been going to Dr. Kessel for about 2 years now and she’s always great with my anxious dog and not too in her space. She also is great when I ask to do blood draws and everything in the exam room instead of taking my dog to the back. She will explain testing and the processes in depth to me and has no issue answering my questions. We have since moved out of Chicago and to the suburbs, but will continue going to Old Town Animal Care Center. The pricing seems fair & in line with other Chicago vets.

Dr Kessel is very thorough. She did an excellent job in examining Rosie my 4 year old Snoodle . She explains exceptionally her full body examination. We love Dr Kessel

Dr. Kessel was ABSOLUTELY GREAT with both of my babies (male cats). They are of course cats so stand offish to begin with but Dr. Kessel was able to examine both of them with such easiness. As their owner I felt super comfortable and beyond happy to see them being well taken care of. We took on the snow storm to be able to see Dr. Kessel and the team and super happy we did. Fabulous and the reason we come back for their care here.

Nice people but EXTREMELY high prices. I have gone here for a couple years and they surprised me with a large price hike from the year prior without saying anything till after the check up. Typical private equity company price gouging of vet clinics. I will not be coming back.

A really good vet that provides good customer service at market rates and takes good care of your pets. This is a good clinic that provides great services. It's worth noting that it's not a budget clinic and located in one of the more weathier areas of the city of Chicago. If budget is a huge area of concern, this place is probably not a good place to make a regular resource. But if you have the means, it's a great option. They accept care credit and offer monthly pet plans. The only thing I would suggest is it would be helpful to offer a bundle discount or add on discount for multiple pet households for their subscription plan. I have 2 cats and it makes no sense to buy the same plan for 2 cats at the same price. I would totally subscribe if I could add a second animal at a reduced rate.
