The Veterinarians, their assistants & the front desk staff are all great. The vet that we see is very kind & will take the time needed to explain anything you might not understand. And while they don't run up the bill with unnecessary procedures it can still put a pretty good dent in your pocket. It's just like anything else that has to do with healthcare (for both people and pets) At the end of the day it's still a business. So make sure you do your due diligence before making any major decisions because things can become very pricey just as any other veterinarians office. But they do work with you to make costs as low as possible along with having payment plans and such. In the end & in my opinion the doctors very trustworthy and very, very good at their jobs. Old Derby has been incredible with our nervous dog. Their kindness, patience, compassion, and understanding is above and beyond. It is such a relief to not have to dread vet appointments. So beyond grateful!

I've been bringing my furry family to Old Derby for at least 25 years...probably more! The quality of care is beyond outstanding, as is the compassion of the staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My dog has stress related seizures and Dr. Kimball comes out to the car to sedate her a bit if we need to bring her in. Jess, one of the amazing techs, does any necessary blood draws in our car to avoid the stress of bringing Tuukka inside. What other vet does that????

I always feel welcomed into Old Derby. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and welcoming. The vet technicians are so kind with my animals and the veterinarians are knowledgeable, compassionate and never rush me out. I feel I get my questions answered and I leave feeling I have received the best care for my animals.

I love Old Derby Animal Hospital! I have seen a number of different members of their staff and they’re all professional, extremely knowledgeable and very welcoming to my dogs. I especially appreciate their patience and acceptance of my German Shepherds.
