My heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated specialist here at Ocean State Veterinary Specialist. From Dr Kessler working with my girl on countless emails (sorry bout that) on her IBD and ongoing infections to Dr Kane the cardiologist as a Boxer owner well nuff said ….. to Dr Alexander checking in on his patient after an ER appointment. It is clear these folks do this because they generally care about our pets and guiding us to ensure good quality of life and top notch expertise! I have such gratitude for all these folks ❤️ thank you 🙏🏼

On February 16th we had to bring our cat in because he was not feeling well. The vets did everything they could do to try to make him as comfortable as they could. Unfortunately, we had to make a hard decision to put him down. The staff was unbelievable, especially Sandra who went above and beyond to make me and my family feel comfort at such a hard time without her support and understanding I know we wouldn’t have been able to get through it without her. Thanks for everything RIP Bubba Kitty

I initially had a consultation with Dr. Voudren after my primary veterinarian referred my cat to a specialty hospital due to recurrent vomiting with blood. I had all of my cat’s medical records sent more than a week in advance. After nearly a year of symptoms, testing, and treatment attempts—including an ultrasound—my regular veterinarian recommended an endoscopy as the next step and provided referrals to Ocean State and Tufts. I chose Ocean State.During the initial consultation, Dr. Voudren and the technician were pleasant and professional. I thoroughly reviewed my cat’s history, including a recent Kenalog (steroid) injection given by my regular veterinarian. When I mentioned this injection, Dr. Voudren stated she had never heard of the medication and did not use it. This was concerning,

Never have i experienced such a sweet and caring staff before. We have been to ocean state on a few occasions, and always have we been treated gracefully and with such compassion. Our most recent stint was with our young kitten who ended up with a freak kidney infection. Every person we experienced was so kind and professional. My 2 year old daughter waited with myself for about 4 hours. Staff stepped in with coloring books, crayons and kindness. I don’t have enough good words. Care overnight for our kitty was exceptional, and you can tell the staff truly cares for your pet. Convenience for an emergency vet is pricey but Ocean state is very much worth it and we are just glad to have a healthy, healing, energetic kitty back home. Thank you Ocean State Vet team!

Lost my dog on September 28th 2018 it was the most dreadful thing I have ever experienced. I came here because he had a hard time walking and it turned out to be something with his spine. I can’t Remember what it was but he died from it. He’s the best dog I ever had. We even celebrated his birthday with a doggy cake we baked for him. If you’re a true animal lover, Enjoy your time with them because that day will come when you have to say your last goodbye to them at the vet and drive back home with just a leash and a broken heart.
