Customer Reviews
I've been going to OTCH for almost 3 years now. So far I've attended puppy kindergarten, beyond manners, drop in handling, and agility. And honestly most of the people that I've met have been nice and want nothing but to help you. The first set of classes (6-7 weeks) costs 100 bucks. Every subsequent class you attend is 80 bucks. Drop in handling I believe is 10-15 bucks a week. I honestly think lessons here are affordable and fun. Pictured below is the Rottie I attend classes with but NOT the facility as I'm normally too focused on the lesson to worry about photos or videos.
Had a great seminar with Garrett Dyer and highly recommend if you get the opportunity.
First class was informative. The trainer told us “they” would bring high value treats to next class. Next class trainer said what treats did you bring? I showed her freeze dried treats. She’s yelled is that it?! Then proceeded to have a child running around the room whose parents were taking another class out of sight. This was a beginners nose work class. I’m sure many others classes here are taken seriously but not this one. The trainer should be more professional and helpful. For my $100 I learned not to go here for training advice.
This is a fabulous place to train, show, judge your furry babies. Every teacher is caring and experienced. They teach you to train your dog. Every dog needs some foundation training and its up to you to guide your dog through what they need with love and patience.
beware. We did not have a positive experience. I know it is divisive, but trainer wanted us to spray our dog with a water bottle for barking. She was rude. I felt biased against, so we left in the middle of the class when I told her I wasn't going to spray my dog. I want to work with someone who is going to do positive reinforcement. As we were walking out I was told I was not able to train my dog. Hugely disappointing in this day and age, we were so hopeful given the positive reviews. Good luck.
