North Smithfield Animal Shelter

New animal control staff change frequently. Most Animals are on thier own here because the town has one person on staff till 3 pm for the entire town of North Smithfield. It’s not the staffs fault. Unfortunately, animal laws have not changed since 1900 world wide. They are property not living beings that need humans to help them survive. Money is more of a priority as we all know everywhere. Very sad.

I couldn't be happier, my cat was stuck in a tree and I guess fire departments don't rescue cats from trees anymore and recommend animal control in north Smithfield. I called the lady explained my situation with my cat being stuck in a tree for hours and the lady came right out, used a lady in my yard and climbed up and got her. I'm so thankful to the lady at animal control. My cat Trixie sure is happy being back in the house. Thank you so much ❤️❤️

Had to use the NS Animal Control a few times over the course of the years and they've always been helpful and willing to make the trip to the house to at least have a look if not be able to actually resolve. In the latter case they've always been able to recommend viable solutions or good and reliable contractors to lend a hand.

I've needed the assistance of ns animal shelter 2 times in the past years, Scott was always great to deal with and Seth is carrying on with his level of diligence to the position.

Scott's a saint. the animals are cared for and the staff makes sure the animals are going to good homes. The animals experience love, some for the first time in thier lifes. wish I could take every one of them home
