I love love love this shelter! I got my cat Leo from here and he is one of the sweetest cats ever! I am so saddened that they will be leaving our community. I live adjacent to this shelter and I truly believe that this shelter has become the fabric of our community. I often visit this shelter to see the cats and dogs and I would like to adopt a dog to complete my fur family. I wish the city had some mercy on them and I am very dissappointed in our city counsil. We love you NBAS!
Please explain how this dog came to be in this condition? After 10 months in the care of North Bay Animal Services Clearlake. This is just 1 of 114 severely emaciated and neglected dogs. Be careful who you give your money to. There’s no denying this…
I hope and pray you guys get the support you deserve. I only see people willing to love. It is evident in the animals. In the animal field we report and support. Same as people. Lovely adventure I had though your website. Keep your hearts and chins up ♡ thank you just isn't enough.
My first time going to this animal shelter , I filled an application for a French bulldog, I read all the information about him and it clearly says " he's a social butterfly who seems to enjoy the company of dogs, cats, and kids alike-he's a great fit for most households." I left my application I never got a call back and when I called 3 times the said the coordinator was in lunch . So I tried calling a few hours later to ask for more information Since it was my first time adopting . The coordinator seemed so rude . And when I said I wanted to Adopt the dog . Right away she said "he doesn't get along with cats " so I told her the papers says he does . Then she proceeded to say supposedly over the weekend she was around cats and didn't get along . I don't get why they didnt update that he d
I recently adopted a cat from their shelter and she was showing signs of being sick the day I got her. She was having coughing and sneezing fits multiple times a day, and I found tapeworms the first day I brought her home as well. Ended up spending a few hundred dollars to treat her tapeworms and upper respiratory infection the second day of having her. I contacted the shelter to let them know, and they said the director would call me to rectify the issue by helping me pay for some of the vet invoices. He finally called me after I had to call a few different times, and when I explained that I found tapeworms and had to treat her for an upper respiratory infection, he rudely interrupted me by saying “and what’s the point in you telling me this?” He was defensive and didn’t want to take any
