Kristi is a fantastic trainer. She is great at explaining everything she has done while working alone with our dog for an hour so we could easily implement it at home. Excellent at pointing out problem ares and how to correct them. She is very flexible with her schedule as well. I would highly recommend her, our Luna is a herding/pit mix with very high energy, she is such a good girl, great to walk with and listens very well now. Money well spent with Kristi, I would absolutely use her again if we were to get another dog.

I recommend this private dog trainer. She knows her stuff! She has a combination of negative and positive reinforcement, which she calls balanced training? She does use a prong collar, which I felt a little uncomfortable with at first, but after learning the proper use, I agreed to give it a try, and it has proved to be very very valuable for learning to teach two dogs in a heel position for a walk around our neighborhood. She charges $150 for a private lesson. She takes a dog for the first hour to teach him things, and then I come back and learn what he has been taught for half an hour. If you can afford these classes, I believe you will greatly benefit from the instruction that she gives to you in a half hour in order to reinforce what the dog has already learned. Kristi and Val are the best. My 3 month old Frenchie puppy Jack arrived at New Beginnings with a zero on the housebroken scale. Now he waits by the door with accidents becoming far more infrequent and now mainly from excitement. Jack has learned many new skills and most importantly I learned many lessons that will continue in his development. People may think that training is not important but in any skill new or old the proper (re) training makes all the difference. Thank you Kristi and Val

Kristi did a fantastic job with our new dog. We adopted a 1yr old lab/Great Dane mix rescue with no training. We only had him for about a month before he spent a week with Kristi. We are so happy with the results. Her attention to detail and methods worked amazing with Harley. He has such great manners and the off the leash training which was the most important to us has worked great. We barely have to use the e-collar. Her daily updates and lessons where informative and were great to see his progress through out the week. We couldn’t be happier. We will be back to add new skills. We’ve used other trainers before for other dogs. But Kristi by far has been the most affordable and best trainer I’ve met. Thank you so much Kristi! Harley misses you.

We took our mixed breed pup, Junie, to New Beginnings for puppy training. Kristi was terrific to work with, and Junie learned so much in just a few training sessions. Equally as important, Kristi was incredibly helpful with regard to teaching US how to reinforce the training with Junie - including effective strategies and approaches to utilize as well as key words/commands. Kristi is kind, patient, and clearly an expert in her field. We would definitely recommend Kristi and New Beginnings, and continue to benefit from all that we (both pup and humans) learned through our sessions with Kristi several months ago. Thank you, Kristi!
