Near North Animal Hospital

We’ve had two cats for over a decade. Fraternal twins, Catsby and Zelda have been a delight, and both have been seen by Dr. Boin and his staff at the Near North Animal Hospital. Yesterday, Catsby the tabby died after a short illness. I’m taking this opportunity to thank Dr Boin, Amy and others at the NNAH to thank them for their expert and compassionate care. Dr. Boin returned all calls, even after-hours, promptly after making them. And his advice was not only superb but caring. Thank you, Dr. Boin and NNAH.

This review is long overdue, and I can’t say enough good things about Near North Animal Hospital. This place was a second home to my lovely dog Jazz for nearly 14 years. From the moment we walked in until our last visit here (few weeks ago) Dr. Boin and the entire staff - Amy, Trisha, Linda - were consistently warm, welcoming, and clearly cared about Jazz. The front desk made check-in simple and stress-free, and the technicians were gentle and patient with Jazz, taking time to make sure he felt comfortable. When we travelled Jazz stayed here for boarding, sometimes a week or more at a time, and he always received outstanding care and lots of attention. Dr. Boin and staff were always accommodation, often coordinating their weekend office visits and pet check in-s so we could come pick Jaz

I took my six month old dog to Near North. I was concerned she had something wrong, but I didn’t know what. The vet didn’t believe me and told me it was bad training. I asked for blood work, and the vet refused. My pup started having tremors, and the vet still didn’t believe me. I went elsewhere, where they ran bloodwork and got us to a specialist. Turns out she had a severe liver defect. She needed complicated surgery or would not have lived more than another year. Thankfully she just turned four. I’m glad I listened to my gut and not this clinic.

Dr Boin, Trisha, Amy and all of the team at Near North are absolutely wonderful! They all went above and beyond helping to prepare all of the necessary documents to bring our cat to Australia and they took amazing care of her throughout the whole process. Their service and care is top notch and their fees are very reasonable. Highly recommend!

I called yesterday( 5/24) morning to make an appointment for my cat. Christina took down my details and said somebody would call back. Nobody ever did. My cat, who shares my mobile plan, didn't receive a call back either. Won't be doing business here.
