Mt Vernon Animal Hospital

I just got back from my first visit at the clinic. I could not be more pleased. The staff and facility are excellent. My dog struggles at the vet. They did not flinch at providing him. The extra comfort measures. He needed to complete a thorough exam. The prices were more than fair. However, what I appreciated most was the honest feedback about the quality of the vaccines but most clinics push without hesitation. I was tremendously surprised at the concern for an animals, long-term well-being with the quality of preventatives and I was tickled pink when the doctor did not turn up her nose at my dogs homemade food. Instead of condemning me for making my dog food every day, I was invited to learn about how I can do a better job of it while also being complimented for what I was doing right.

We have been taking our two Danes to this vet clinic since 2019. Everyone from the Veterinarians to the receptionist are amazing. They take the care of your pet serious and will do what they can to fit you. Prices are reasonable compared to places I have called around to, in the area. Love that they offer a holistic approach to care as well. Highly recommend.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with them as a vet and as a boarding option for my 4 year old Lab. There may be better options, but if you go with Mt. Vernon Animal Hospital, you won’t feel the need to look for other options, because they’re on point!

Top notch vet, without a doubt. We've taken our pets (A cat and a dog) there for over a decade and trust their advice implicity. Everyone genuinely cares about the animals they see and their care has a no-nonsense, what is best for your pet approach I appreciate. If you are looking for a vet to care for your companion I can't think of a better place to take them. Obligatory cute pet photo attached.

I have had nothing but great experiences with this Vet office. My dog can be incredibly nervous and they have always been super accommodating and understanding working with her. Highly recommend coming here!
