Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter

I adopted a 1 year old cat named Katie and I am so grateful to have her. She is smart, affectionate, and playful and I love spending time with her. The shelter took great care of her and I am very thankful to be blessed with such a beautiful fur baby 💕

Having a Great experience with MPAS. Met the friskiest and cutest little feline. MPAS staff is helpful and pleasant and guiding me through the adoption process.

A little chaotic but the pups are the best. The employees are all so helpful, and the process seemed a bit quick. I am hoping it all goes smooth to bring our little one home for 2 weeks fostering before she is ours to keep. UPDATE... After researching the breed I realize taking her home would be detrimental for her and us as well. Australian Cattle Dogs or 'Blue Heelers' are bred to work hard all day corralling herds of cattle. Not suitable for a moderate residential life. I should have found out more about the dog instead of being moved by her sweet disposition. I'm hoping she and her siblings get the quality of life they require. I would love to have her if I had 2 acres or more in suburban area or a farm. It was a wonderful experience! The staff exuded love and compassion for the cats/dogs/animals at the shelter. They were patient and let us see and spend time with each cat or set of cats 🐈 😻. We felt at home. Thank you to all of the staff and special woman who took care of explaining everything and sharing with us our experience of adopting 1 kitten and 2 young adult cats. INCREDIBLE experience at Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. We had previously gone through a crazy story at another shelter, and they graciously put our future kitten on hold for 24 hours allowing me to go see her in person. 10/10, super kind and we’re excited to pick her up on Friday!
