Mount Purrnon Cat Café + Wine Bar

Loved the cats, staff, and iced coffee. The cats seemed very content and happy. I’ve been to many cat cafes - this one had a bit of a strong odor on the day of my visit. Doesn’t bother me too much though. I will come back for sure! Btw I liked how the main floor had tables and chairs. I was reading their food menu and it looked very cute and interesting. Next time I will order food before/after visiting the kitties.

I’m from out of state and took a visit to old town, VA recently. The Mount Purron Cat Cafe was the BEST activity I could have stumbled across!! For a great price I got to spend an hour with cats who were friendly and adorable. They are rescued from kill shelters (what a great cause), and the food downstairs had lots of gluten free and vegan options. 10/10, I will definitely be going back if I visit VA again!

This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. The vibes are super chill. The cats all have their own funny personalities. The staff here are terrific. They do a fantastic job caring for the cats and letting you know about their personalities. It's a must-do if you're in Old Town!

Mt. Purrnon Cat Café in Alexandria is truly one of the happiest little escapes you can find in the DMV area. From the moment you walk in, the staff are kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about both their guests and the cats. They take the time to introduce you to the cats, share each one’s personality quirks, and make sure everyone is comfortable. And the cats are absolutely adorable. Every single one is charming in their own way, some playful (Bucky), some sleepy (Castiel), some eager for cuddles (Sweet Pea) but all of them are irresistible. It’s the kind of place where you fall in love with at least three cats before you even finish your drink. Whether you’re a cat lover, need a moment to relax and unwind, or just want a fun date, please visit this place.

The biggest highlight of my visit to Alexandria! The staff here clearly care for all the cats and treat them very well. The cat space is very big so there’s plenty of room even when there’s many other people. Plus, there’s tons of cats to play with! The cafe area is spacious as well and even serves food. I had a chai and it was delicious!
