Adopted my baby boy through them & it was the best experience ever!! Healthy cats and great staff. Everyone was really kind & answered all my questions for vets, diet, etc. Definitely check them out!
I brought two stray cats I found in my neighborhood to Morris as a part of their Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) program. From the front desk staff to the veterinarian who performed the surgeries, everyone at Morris was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and kind. If you have stray cats in your neighborhood (or are looking to adopt!), I would absolutely recommend Morris.
**I received permission to take and post these photos** I do not think I have ever met more empathetic people in my life than the staff at Morris Animal Refuge. The volunteers range from young adults to med students. And they are so compassionate - to the humans as well as the animals. One time I visited while I was waiting for my kitten I had a brief conversation with a volunteer that felt better than therapy (and it's really hard to say "it's raining" when you're indoors). The staff will vet you properly but not be ridiculously gatekeep-y about their rules for adoption. Most importantly THEY WILL TAKE THE ANIMAL BACK. Weigh this decision extremely carefully but if you MUST release the animal and have no suitable foster - they do. Do not be irresponsible. Do not abuse their kindness. Do
Have been fostering with Morris for years and adopted one of my fosters through them. I've also had friends adopt my fosters through Morris. They are an awesome organization with awesome people. Highly recommend this place to anyone interested in adopting a pet <3
We adopted our dog from here back in 2020. I was just reminiscing on what a lovely place this was, how helpful they were, and how much I appreciate what they do. Just wanted to leave some love for ya'll, you're doing God's work. As for Igor, he's living his best life, every day. ❤️
