We could not have asked for a better experience with Tom. He truly transformed the lives of both us and our dog. We were so stressed out about our new puppy and her rambunctious energy, but Tom's training and structure totally transformed that stress. Our friends now always comment on how well-behaved our dog is. Tom is friendly, clear, supportive, and flexible. I would recommend Mid Atlantic Dog Training to anyone!

Tom helped my wife and I work with our 18 month-old pug and it was a fantastic experience. From meeting in our home and neighborhood for lessons, to helping us overcome hurdles in our confidence, Tom goes out of his way to cater his training program to the client and their furry friend. Our dog needed basic training and was a nervous leash walker who was prone to reactivity when seeing other dogs. We were practically unable to walk anywhere besides the block we live on. Tom guided us through basic obedience training, crate training, and indoor heeling before we moved onto outdoor training. The difference in our dog's behavior is night and day. We can now take long walks around the neighborhood and to the park with ease, and Tom's lessons have provided us with the foundations to continue t

Mid-Atlantic Dog Training was the best investment we have made. Tom is a patient, flexible and understanding trainer. At times when we as owners were frustrated or concerned, he encouraged us to keep going and provided extra guidance. It only paid-off for us. We contacted Tom after adopting our Lab/Hound mix and discovering how dog-reactive she was. At our consultation, Tom explained in great detail his training methods, process, and why he trains the way he trains. We got more than we could have asked for with Tom. Our dog is not only more confident and less anxious, but we are more confident and knowledgeable dog owners. Dog training with Tom has taught us how to be the best leader for our girl. We now provide her with the structure she needs and do things in her best interest that we

Tom is a great dog trainer and runs a very professional business. He has helped us SO much with our reactive dog. When we first started our training with Tom we could not really walk our dog at all, he was lunging and barking at both people and other dogs. Now we enjoy long walks with no pulling and far less reactivity. I recommend highly and will always be grateful for his patience and commitment to his clients and their dogs.

We reached out to Tom when our Golden Labradoodle puppy, Kyla, was 4 months old. From the start, we knew we wanted her to be well-trained, and while we had taught her some basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “down,” we were struggling with a few key areas: leash walking, crate training, and playful nipping. Kyla was anxious outside and hesitant to go beyond the perimeter of our apartment complex. She would often pull us back toward home. She also resisted crate time, needing to be carried in and crying for several minutes afterward. On top of that, she frequently nipped and rarely responded to us when she was overly excited or distracted. After just our first session with Tom, where we worked on “place,” heel, and crate training, we noticed a huge improvement in Kyla’s behavior and he
