So grateful to have found this practice. I looked on-line and saw that Dr Yates is an exotic vet. I have a house rabbit and was going to an inconvenient and overpriced practice that was 45 minutes away by ride share. I couldn’t believe my luck to find a kind, caring, reasonably priced vet practice that was less than two miles away! Even more amazing is a practice off Michigan Ave with great prices. This visit was a fraction of what I spent in the past. At the previous place I went to, it would cost $400 plus each visit. Here they don’t try to upsell you and people are nice. Dr Yates is super caring and considerate. She’s allergic to rabbits but takes precautions to care for them. I’ve dealt with rabbit vets all around the country for 30+ years and this place stands out as one of the bes

Took my dog here at the end of his life for treatment of his kidney failure. Couldn't get blood work results for a week because the vet assigned to me was on vacation. No other vet would talk to me. Totally uncaring that my dog was so sick and getting results quickly was imperative to his care. The next dog I adopted after my dog passed I just wanted them to check her spay scar with no other physical examination bc she just got out of the city pound and she's decompressing and she insisted on examining her, my dog mouthed her, dint bite and she said oh your dog tried to bite me. Well I told you not to do a physical examination touching her all over the place bc she's decompressing (she's a friendly pittie who loves people and no vet has had an issue with her since). Also tried to give me a

The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous. I came on a Saturday evening because my puppy was vomiting and lethargic. Even though theyre typically by appointment, they were able to get me in a room right away. After a quick exam they showed me what the bill would be, minus xrays. Although not cheap they were very reasonable. Th ey ave max some fluids and some sublingual meds and sent us on our way. Doggie recovered the next day. They also sent me a text just to check up on the pup. Very professional. I highly recommend

Our experience at Metropolitan Veterinary Center was nothing short of amazing. We’re new to Chicago and hadn’t yet found a regular vet for our dogs. When one of them got sick overnight, we needed to find someone who could see him right away. They answered immediately and were able to schedule a same-day appointment. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was welcoming and efficient — we were greeted and brought to a room right away. Dr. Mitchell was lovely and thorough in her exam, answering all of our questions and reassuring us that our pup would be well cared for. Kayla, who worked alongside Dr. Mitchell, was an absolute joy to interact with — kind, attentive, and clearly caring toward our dog. They walked us through their plan of care and were completely upfront and transpa

The prices are beyond outrageous. They are very thorough and kind to the animals, but expect a $500+ price tag for every visit. They wanted to charge me $1500+ for a teeth cleaning that will cost $500 at Banfield. I strongly recommend every Chicagoan drive to Indiana and establish care elsewhere, as the vets in the city are charging you three or four times what it costs in other places.
