Melissa's Second Chances

Everything about this experience has been great! We met our little Kiki at my husband’s work “dog play and adopt” event. Kiki “Dorothy” and her sister’s were new puppy’s up for adoption. I immediately fell in love with her. Adoption process was very easy. Everyone has been so nice and informative. They keep amazing records and after adoption they send an email link with everything. I would highly recommend Mellissa’s Second Chances for a great adoption experience.

The application process was quick and the communication couldn't have been better. She gets along perfectly with my miniature poodle. I got the dog I was meant to have and I couldn't be happier. Barque-Leigh is perfect!!

We adopted our girl Maple from Melissa’s Second Chances as a puppy and she is my soul dog🥰 They were wonderful to work with and the process was smooth and easy. You can tell these are genuine people trying to make a difference. I also dropped off extra dog food when the wrong one was delivered to us and the girl that was in at the time was lovely to talk to. I encourage everyone to support this wonderful rescue!

These are the most kind, caring individuals on the face of the earth. We needed to rehome our beagle Zoe due to issues beyond our control. They immediately found her a loving foster home and within a week a permanent loving home. Although we miss Zoe more than words can express we know she is being loved and well taken care of. Then today in the mail we got the most beautiful loving card from Melissa’s thanking us for making the difficult decision to give up our beloved Zoe and that we did the right thing. They are the best!! Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts🥰

This shelter is small but does great things for pets in need by rescue and re-homing them. Melissa Second Chances also does alot of fundraising events and events for adoption in the community. I am grateful to be able to be approved for dog day out, foster, and adopt. I am looking forward to continuing my visits for dogs day out and look into weekend stays also. Great news I am getting involved making a difference in dogs life who get a break from shelter through programs they offer. Walk a dog , doggie day out,or if you want to make a bigger impact become part of the F.A.S.T volunteers. You get assigned a puppers to help improve commands, behavior, leash walks, pictures, post ,and so much more. There is a need for better communication and that can improved with educating volunteers
