Mc Duffie County Animal Shelter

Went in to get a kitten for my son with allergies. We had one prior with short hair with no issues. Easy process, paid the $25 dollars and left. 3 weeks later my son is on his 2nd round of antibiotics for another sinus infection. I called today to inform them and wanted to know if I could return him. It was fine, until I pulled up with him. The lady that runs the place was clearly upset. She took him from me without any questions. Left me in the front. I went to retrieve his things, food, cat litter and scratching post. A young girl took it and walked back. I was trying to tell them about how great he was around children and that he loved cuddles. But they were just upset they were full. My heart is shattered. We didn't know my son would be allergic. Staff are wonderful and do their best to support the animals they care for and the community.

Tried to get them to come out and scan for a chip on this stray dog because I am disabled well they acted completely just like they didn't know what was going on and they tell me they are not animal control that they cannot take her so if you are disabled and can't go nowhere i and the stray shows up you are on your own. Also the girl I spoke to on October 22nd at 10:30 a.m. she was a dingbat and she was rude she had no solutions at all to help. And they are an animal rescue center?

We lost my cat while moving houses. We gave the shelter our info and a picture of our cat saying if he came in to let us know. The cat was also chipped with our information. Months later we see a "Successful" rescue post with a picture of our cat, with his name as well. Contacted the new owners and they didn't want to give him back, as their daughter had grown attached to him. Turns out they knew someone high up in the shelter who purposefully ignored our information and gave him away anyways.

These sick, disgusting, pitiful excuses of human beings will willingly execute sweet loveable animals and proceed to laugh about it in conversation. Dogs were placed in body bags before they stopped breathing. Dates were changed so they would be able to kill animals before rescues could come back to pick them up. Disgusting place should be bulldozed and then the remains should be burned many times over, only then will our planet be cleansed of the filth that is known as this animal shelter.
