These people are overworked. The shelter is packed. Yet they are very kind and handling it like champs. Be willing to help them. Be courteous to them. It's not their fault there are irresponsible pet owners and feral animals on the street. Ive had to take in a few dogs and they've picked up one at my house. All dumped in the country. These folks are doing the best they can providing the opportunity for y'all to come down and find a four legged friend. I found my buddy, "Gib",now Gibson here and he is transitioning well into our family.

Awesome... great caring people that love animals and helped in my terrible situation involving sherriffs taking my dogs from lies and said i knowingly relinquished then... wow..NOT. I HAD A NEIGHBOR TO CARE FOR THEM BUT NO, THEY TOOK THEM. AN OLD PURE BREED YELLOW LAB DOG A BEAUTIFUL PUREBREED CHOCOLATE LAB AND A DOG THAT I HAVE WORKED SO HARD WITH TO TRUST. THESE 2 NEW ONES LIVED THEIR WHOLE LIFE IN A KENNEL NOT TAKEN CARE OF RIGHT WENT BACK IN A SMALL KENNEL ... BUT THE PEOPLE AT ANIMAL CONTROL TOOK CARE AND PAID ATTENTION. SO PROPS TO THEM BOOOOOO TO MADERA CO SHERRIFFS MNT. THEY COULD HAVE REACHED OUT TO ME BUT, NO THEY DID MEAN THINGS AND WE ALL SUFFERED FROM LIES SAID FROM SQUATTERS....I WOUND NEVER RELINQUISH MY FAMILY, MY DOGS. ANYWAYS. POUND DID THEIR BEST AND I APPRECIATED

They are the best people! They took our little feral cat in and sprayed her, clipped her ear and gave her a rabies shot. We are so thankful for this service! We happily gave a donation, so we in some part, could help. We highly recommend!

July of last year I adopted a 5 month old golden puppy named sunshine when I found him on a site for puppy's needing adoption. So we go to the shelter and meat this pup and he was so excited he peed himself lol. We sign the paperwork and leash him up and brought him home. Now hes a year and a month old and doing great! Hes so smart loveable. I am so happy we brought our first dog home hes amazing and so handsome!
