I just want to let everyone know how amazing this place is. I came across a posting on Facebook regarding taking friendly cat to be adopted out.(which was last year). I contacted them and was met up this very knowledgeable person named Diana. She is very nice and friendly, personally outgoing. She took my 2 cats out to the coast and was adopted immediately. She knows where these cats can go and be placed into good homes, just from being in this business for 20 years. She is truly amazing person and knows cats inside and out. I have been back to her when I come across more cats that have been abandoned and need someone who will love them and take then in. Great place to put your trust into regarding cats, kittens. I come all the way from Fresno for her services. That is how much I have

Till this day I will post of how bad this shelter is I have also seen other posts on yelp which hello I know you took my post off but won’t stop me from exposing you all. About 1 yr we adopted a female tabby they said she was healthy yet feeding her the next couple of days seeing she can’t eat and taking her to my vet and he says she has severe stomatitis and on top of that did chest X-rays and she has really bad asthma. Yet they said she was healthy and never as told her condition. That’s not all after calling and speaking to if I’m correct diane or what ever her name was but after I called this shelter super upset that they did not disclose this the best the offer was to take the cat back are you kidding me never did I say I want go give her away she’s family but it’s not fair to her or

Our family has adopted cats from Friends of Madera Animal Shelter for years. All cats have arrived well after their required stay at the Madera animal shelter . Friends of Madera Animal Shelter transports cats from the shelter to local Pet Smart stores for adoption. We live 200 miles from this shelter. Transport is one of many programs this group does. Friends of Madera Animal shelter is volunteer with more immediate animal s' needs then there are people and money to help out. As a result we also make a annual donation to the organization.

I am so grateful for FMAS. I found what I assumed was a stray cat and after trying to get it seen by the vet I found out it had a chip. When I brought the cat to humane society they called the chip info and Diana answered. While the cat was adopted out to a family they obviously abandoned the cat and that’s how I found it. Diana cares so much about these animals and it shows. She came all the way down to Burlingame to get this cat back. I wanted to adopt her and I was able to meet Diana and talk with her and her associate and you can tell she does this because of a passion for saving lives of animals and making sure they go to a good home. I ended up getting our cat (rattlesnake named by Diana) and I can’t be more thankful. While adopting our cat there was one more that I also adopted. All

Saw a picture of my cat Sage (named Rattlesnake when I got her) saying that the cat was abandoned when in reality that wasn’t the case; She had escaped and we just couldn’t find her, and thought that our neighbors had her. Anyway, I talked to them about the issue and the lady who answered the phone was agitated accusing me of letting my cat go outside (as if I did it on purpose). I fully understand that they do care about their cats, but I didn’t adopt her just to let her go outside. Instead of having an emotional mature conversation over the phone, this lady was just raising her voice kind of interrupting me into what I was going to say next. I thanked her for taking care of my cat, but not for giving her away. With that being said, not all animals get abandoned because sometimes they l
