Little Mews Rescue

Seen a kitten that I wanted to adopt. Did an application and it got denied because I didn't have a vet listed. Well first of all if you don't own an animal there's no reason to have a vet? Correct. Called them to explain I didn't have a problem with aquiring a vet but needed an animal first. Humm ..what kind of animal do you have ... 😂 I don't yet. Ediots...so when I called they agreed and said someone would call me and put notes in. To this day a month plus later no call, no answering when calling them. Pretty bad for a rescue that collects money from people and suppose to adopt animals out in this case I was looking for a kitten. Like I stated sad. But good news I adopted Jerry 3 mo old went to the vet yesterday got our wellness exam. All good thank you Adrian Humane Society. Little mews

I've adopted two cats from this rescue and I've been really impressed with the love and dedication the directors, fosters and volunteers have for saving kittens and cats of Lenawee County. They are a smaller operation so yes processing applications can take a little longer but it's because they are doing so much to try and match the animals with good loving homes. They are working with limited availability from the vets office and do everything they can to prioritize the cats that need care immediately. The two cats I've adopted have both come from very different situations and they so their best to make sure the cat feels safe and has time to be around other cats and kittens to determine their preferences and nature. My partner and I recently adopted this beautiful princess at Ypsilanti's PetSmart, and we couldn't be more satisfied and happier with the process! She stole our hearts on a Tuesday, and by Friday she was already snuggling up with us at home.

Few years ago we adopted a cat from Little Mews, it was a cat who was well loved but the gentlemen couldn't keep him. My youngest fell in love with this cat, his name was Panda. Sadly we lost his recently, my youngest is almost 13 now and was so heartbroken. As you see he loved her as much, in her baby stroller being pushed around. But this is a fantastic place to foster or adopt from. The staff is awesome and they always make sure that the cats are in good health along with spayed/fixed.
