I reached out to Gwen at Lehigh Valley Dog Training in October 2025, feeling desperate after adopting my 3-year-old ShihTzu-Poodle, Frajer, 1 month earlier. He was having serious issues, including soiling his crate, and my partner and I were overwhelmed. Gwen took the time to chat with me on a Saturday afternoon and fit us in the very next day, even though we were staying in Bushkill. The session was a game-changer. Gwen and her assistant spent about two hours with us, providing hands-on training and great insights. I have a 3 yr old female Doberman for the past 7 months. She was scared of everything, any movement, noise, dogs & people. She nipped my son & wouldn’t let others pet her. We have been attending Gwen Marx, Behaviorist & Trainer for regular training every week which has amazingly helped her. She was always uncertain of men, but now she anxiously awaits pettting from everyone & tries to play with other dogs. She’s now in training to be a service dog & with Gwen’s patience as a Bahaviorist & our weekly sessions, I’m sure we’ll be another success story. I had a great experience with Gwen. I have two dogs who would react to other dogs on walks. It was hard to get them to calm down when other dogs would walk pass them. I traveled to her from Bethlehem so she could assist me with my problem. Her and her beautiful dogs helped fix the problem faster than expected. I also get unlimited group classes which has proven to be amazing because it socializes my dogs.

My corgi was aggressive with other dogs and didn’t walk well. Guinevere and Amber worked with us for several hours and we followed up with a group class later that day. It’s like I have a new dog! While we recognize we’ll need to work consistently with our dog moving forward, we can’t believe how much progress we made in one day (and neither can our neighbors). I highly recommend Lehigh Valley dog training. My wife and I are incredibly impressed.

Shocked at how unprofessional this owner is. I called Gwen at 4:30 to discuss a behavioral consultation for my dog. She said she was in the middle of a session and could call me back in 30 minutes for a full phone consultation. Absolutely fine! Well she never called. At 6:30 I texted to see if she could still talk to me. She responsed at close to 10pm asking if it was too late to call me back. I said I could still talk and guess what! She never actually called me. Having now read some reviews about her use of shock collars, prong collars, and outdated “dominance” tactics, I think I dodged a bullet but this is still no way to run a business.
