Customer Reviews
Have fostered dogs through our rescue org that we’ve pulled from this shelter and their staff is so kind. Like many shelters they are underfunded but they care deeply about the animals and do their best with what they have. I also appreciate their donation bin inside for adopters/fosters to grab what they need!
Well This animal shelter use to be really bad, they have some new county officers such as officer Holder who have really put there hearts into these animals and they really do care as for the feeding only once a day I'm not sure but you know they do accept donations so anytime anyone who cares is in that area dop off some food for them and from my understanding you can even leave it there if they are closed someone from there will definitely get it. Officer Holder found my babies' good homes and had her puppies there and got her adopted with the babies. It was one of the hardest things I had to do in my life, I mean broke my heart, but he let me see them, take my time saying goodbye and even sent me pictures of their lives now. It's hard for only 4 or 5 people to run a shelter, so again, i
Surrendered a stray puppy there due to local ordinances; they treated her very kindly despite how skittish and uncooperative she was. Facility is not much to look at from the outside, to the point that I'd call it off-putting, but on the inside where it counts, it was very clean, smelled nice, and looked great. Plus we got greeted by a friendly feline receptionist! Staff were very helpful in getting me all the info I needed to adopt the puppy back if no owner comes forward, and I look forward to seeing them again in a few days!
I have been here many times. I have adopted cats from here and in my experiences they are very friendly. Now... do they KILL animals? Yes. But that is an issue with LEE COUNTY LAWMAKERS, not the workers at this place. The workers are very nice and trying their best for these animals I attached pictures of the babies I have rescued from here!
Typical rescue shelter, clean and well maintained. Make sure you call ahead to make an appointment.
