Adopted 2 of our 3 cats here . Couldn't be happier with the outcome of now my husband's cat Miso Chili "Bupkis" and our Spyro Blaze " Muhammad". Staff was very friendly and understanding of our requests. The moment my husband who had the time wasn't much into cats saw Miso in the front and about cried happily as if he just met the perfect cat for him and now he and his other brothers a Spyro Blaze and Rueben Sir( found as kitten) are one big happy pack of purrs

The league won me over this past Monday. I came home around noon to find my autistic sons support cat Luna sitting on the coach with a large fishing hook caught in her mouth,going up into her whisker area. I panicked because not only did our cat need help quick but I was flat broke after just paying all my bills. I called many local vets who all either brushed me off,quoted me large sums of money,or told me they had no opening. I called the league and the director told me to bring her right in and they would fit her in. I got there and within moments there was people checking on Luna and evaluating the situation. I adopted a kitten from League of Animal Welfare from Purrfect Day Cat Cafe last week. My kitten was spayed on 11/08/2025 at 8:20 AM and was transferred to the cat cafe only a few hours later. Soon after adoption (11/12/2025), she became severely ill with a fever of 105°F, extreme lethargy, and even lost the ability to walk. Our veterinarian told me that if I had not adopted her when I did, she likely would not have survived. I was surprised that she had been placed into a new, high-activity environment so soon after surgery, and she does not appear to have healed properly because of it. I contacted the League for Animal Welfare for guidance, but I was told it did not seem like an emergency and to do whatever I wanted. Dr. Whitaker and assistant was awesome. Very thorough and caring. They went over options and price. Prices were really very affordable. The best place the take my fur babies. Thank you so much. I also adopted them there.

Our experience at the League was great from start to finish! We had gone to several other shelters prior to this one, but this place was a whole different vibe. The building and grounds were very clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got to first meet the dog in a private room and then walk him on their wooded trail. We have already recommended the League for Animal Welfare to everybody who has met our little girl!
