Customer Reviews
The experience i had at the shelter was great, I had some tips from my neighbor who volunteers at the shelter. We bought our dog willow with us because they require a meet and greet before adoption. The staff was amazing and so nice, they told us to leave our dog in the car while we went through a few books to see what dogs they had available and they had us pick a few we wanted to meet. We filled out a form and after seeing her, fell in love with Kiki, a bully who was a stray. The staff allowed us to take her home immediately after she met our pitbull & boxer mix willow outside in a pen out back. They let us know she had not been spayed yet and we would have to bring her back for a night to get it done. They gave us a blanket for her from the girl scouts, a bag full of food and toys for h
I’m so happy with this place! They were MORE than helpful in finding the right dog for me and the 3 times I’ve been there recently, the staff was always friendly and knowledgable. You can tell they really care. The price per dog was the most reasonable I’ve seen and when I asked if I could get her chipped they told me they had already done it! As soon as she settles into our home and routines, I’m heading back there to find another dog. The experience was just that spectacular.
The staff are friendly and eager to meet new pet parents! They take care of spay/neuter, please consider pet adoption here at Claremont County Animal Shelter💕
Keep getting told this shelter doesn’t take in cats from our county that have been found outside but yet I see cats being posted. I’ve had 3 kittens dropped off by someone on the side of the road and have been told by even police officers you do not help cats in need. Our tax dollars deserve to help cats and dogs. Do better.
Me and my wife went there to get a new member of our family got really attached to a dog named Bel Air and was told we couldn’t take her home with us because she got to excited when meeting us that we would have to keep coming back till she wasn’t so excited around us then we would be able to take her home. I’m sorry but we live over a hour away and not making multiple trips there and back to get her to not get excited to see us. I thought dogs should be excited to see their owners. Friendly employees but don’t know anything about dogs behaviors. So if your looking to adopt a dog from here don’t be playful and try to play with them or your not going to be able to take your new baby home! This place is ridiculous!
