Dear Heather, l have tried everyday and am not able to remove my crappy review so l have decided to write a new one. I will keep trying to delete the last one l left with one star. I am very sorry l was so wrapped up with the loss of my birds l could not think straight. I am forever grateful to you for taking on my four birds it is a huge job in addition to all you already have to do. I am grateful at least l know they all got excellent homes. Thank you for helping my mother and brother out and myself. I miss them all every second of my life. Thank you for all you do and continue to do. You are appreciated so is Jess. Love this place! We learned about LARRS when we saw the lady who runs the rescue present at the Plymouth library! She brought several animals and taught us about the rescue mission and about the real commitment of having birds or reptiles. After seeing her presentation we also visited the Sheboygan Falls location several times the animals are always extremely well cared for. Every time I've been in there they've been busy cleaning and caring for the animals! It is amazing how many animals she has taken in and I can't imagine the cost and work that goes into running an operation like that! Thank you for providing such an amazing space for these animals. The owner, Heather is great. We just adopted a bird from her for the second time and her kindness shows. We know our new bird didn’t come from a good situation but Heather took the time to get her hand trained and to trust humans again. She is very thorough on the adoption process which is amazing because these birds deserve the absolute best families they will ever have in their long, healthy lives. All of their rescues are very well taken care of and I cannot recommend Larrs enough. Thank you for my sweet babies!

Horrible place. Had a gecko that was EXTREMELY emaciated. Definitely couldn’t have survived longer than a few days. And when asked if the gecko was okay, the workers said “it was fine” This gecko needed a vet months ago. Turtles were just in a bucket, very basic filter system, no enrichment. The birds were literally standing in their own feces, in small metal cages. Horrible place. Abused animals, do not support this business.

Highly recommend this rescue! I went to adopt a leopard gecko, Flash (now named Cricket), from this shelter last Sunday, September 11th. The lady, I wish I could remember her name, helping me was very kind and knowledgeable about the animals currently there! She also seems to deeply care about her shelter residents and the future homes they go too! It was a quick and painless application/adoption process. Will absolutely be going back when I’m looking for another reptile to add to the family. Thank you again!
