I've had a wonderful experience bringing my bunnies here. Dr. G is extremely rabbit-savvy and always takes the time to explain everything clearly. I've also had great experiences with Dr. Smiley, and the staff- including Kaitlyn, Sam and the front desk team; they have all been kind and helpful. I appreciate that Lakeside has specific protocols for rabbits, especially for surgery, and that all test results are shared promptly by email or print. The doctors personally call to discuss any concerns, and routine check-ups are thorough, never rushed, and never dismissive. After difficult experiences at a previous vet, the care here has been exceptional. Being open on Saturdays is a huge relief as well. I've taken my rats there in the past and was happy with their service. When I took over care for two guinea pigs, they were my first call for wellness checks. My old man had a mass and Dr. Gonzalez immediately recommended a removal; the way she recommended it really made me believe she cared for his well-being. I got a quote for surgery same-day and was scheduled in quickly after. The surgery went well and I got to speak with her after. They stayed late (after closing) as he was taking longer than anticipated to rouse from anesthesia and sent me home with recommendations to aid his recovery. I've taken both of my cats here for sick visits within in the past week and both experiences were great! Everyone is so sweet and knowledgable, and they take such great care of my angels.<3 My little boy, Bilbo, had to spend a day there, and I know that he was in such good hands. He slept like a baby in the lobby as we waited to check out!

As a new patient to Lakeside, I am most impressed with the love and care for my 5 year old Shih Tzu, Izzy. As a retired breeding female, Izzy needed a complete physical, vaccinations, dental work, and being spayed. All this took place in two visits which certainly kept the cost down. I look forward to continuing care for my new fur baby.

My cat Sammy came home from Lakeside Animal Hospital after only two days when she would’ve needed at least 7 days for the full course of the antibiotic. They had a skirmish with her and had to move furniture to retrieve her. Guess what they said when they called to tell me she could come home after not even two days there? They had injected her with a long-acting antibiotic that would stay in her system 10 days. Why was this not the go-to instead of boarding her for a week to give P.O. medication (because she would damage me badly if I tried to pill her and still wouldn’t get the pill) which would have been extremely expensive? The medicine was only twice as expensive as the amoxicillin, which is VERY inexpensive, and WAY more convenient. It took care of her UTI just fine. I think I need
